When it comes to photo locations in Mallorca, let’s be honest - this island is completely showing off. From dramatic mountains and endless beaches to colorful streets and romantic vineyards, Mallorca has a backdrop for every kind of session. Engagements, weddings, families, portraits, or just because-you-can photos - whatever the occasion, Mallorca is basically begging to be photographed. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot in some of the island's most iconic (and some lesser-known) spots, and I’ve rounded up my absolute favorites. These are my top 10 photo session locations in Mallorca - tried, tested, and guaranteed to make your photos as epic as the memories you’re making.

1. Valldemossa
If your dream photo session includes cobbled streets, flower-filled doorways and beautiful stone houses with green shutters, Valldemossa is the one. The village can become busy during the day, but in the quieter hours, it feels like you have stepped into a completely different world.

💡 Pro tip: Plan your session early in the morning, then stop for a freshly baked coca de patata before you leave. Strictly for cultural research purposes, obviously.
2. Deià
Deià has that effortlessly artistic feeling that is almost impossible to recreate anywhere else. Built into the mountainside and surrounded by olive trees, stone terraces and views toward the sea, it feels refined, peaceful and just a little bit magical.
This is one of my favorite Mallorca photo locations for couples who love warm, earthy colors and photographs that feel romantic without being overly polished. We can explore the village streets, walk between the old stone buildings and finish at one of the viewpoints overlooking the surrounding mountains.

💡 Pro tip: Wear shoes you can comfortably walk uphill in. Deià is stunning, but she will make you work for it.
3. Palma Old Town
Palma Old Town is perfect for couples who want their photos to feel timeless, stylish and full of life. Think narrow streets, warm sandstone buildings, hidden courtyards, colorful shutters and little cafés tucked around every corner.
We can wander without much of a plan, stopping wherever the light looks beautiful - which, in Palma, happens approximately every twelve seconds. The area around La Seu Cathedral adds a more dramatic backdrop, while the smaller side streets create those intimate, effortless moments that feel like stills from a European film.

💡 Pro tip: An early-morning session gives us softer light, cooler temperatures and much quieter streets. It also leaves you free to reward yourselves with coffee and pastries afterwards.
4. Cap de Formentor
The winding roads, towering cliffs and endless views across the Mediterranean make this one of the most spectacular photo locations in Mallorca. It feels wild, windswept and cinematic—ideal for couples who are happy to embrace a little adventure.
Mirador Es Colomer is one of the best-known viewpoints, but the journey itself offers plenty of beautiful stops. At golden hour, the cliffs soften, the sea catches the light and the entire landscape starts to glow.

💡 Pro tip: Road access is regulated seasonally, so always check the current rules before planning your session. It can also get very windy, which is either mildly inconvenient or the secret to your best hair photos ever.
5. Es Trenc
If your Mallorca vision involves pale sand, turquoise water and a beach that seems to stretch forever, Es Trenc is hard to beat. Its wide-open shoreline gives us plenty of space for walking, running and all the slightly chaotic movement that makes couple photos feel natural. With very little development directly behind the beach, the photographs feel clean, peaceful and completely focused on the two of you.
It’s especially beautiful at sunrise or during the softer evening light, when the sand reflects the warm colors in the sky.

💡 Pro tip: Es Trenc is part of a protected natural area. Stay on the designated paths, keep off the dunes and leave everything exactly as you found it. Parking is paid, and the walk to your chosen part of the beach may take a little time.
